NVIDIA employees are using ChatGPT Work to reduce time spent on manual analysis, surface relevant external signals, and make repeatable processes available across teams. The tool has been applied to planning for the company’s GTC conference and to monitoring fast-moving AI developments.
Automating event planning
Will Daney, Go-To-Market Strategist at NVIDIA, converted a spreadsheet-heavy process for GTC preparation into an automated ChatGPT Work workflow that runs twice a week. He estimates that manual analysis once consumed roughly 40% of his time during the lead-up to the event. Across a 12-week GTC planning cycle, the workflow saves about 16 hours per week.
Because Daney owns the workflow, he can modify it as event needs change without waiting for new tools to be purchased. He has also shared the underlying process with colleagues supporting events in San Jose, Taipei, Europe, and Washington, DC, who have adapted it for local requirements. “With ChatGPT, I think the real key is that I’m able to take a workflow I’ve already developed and I’m able to automate it event over event with little to no overhead,” Daney said.
Turning updates into actionable signals
Rachita Jain, a Solutions Architect on NVIDIA’s AI operations team within marketing, built a ChatGPT Work workflow that reviews trusted external sources together with internal context. The process filters roughly 25–40 external AI updates each week into about 5–8 actionable signals that can inform projects and discussions.
Jain also uses the same environment to iterate on ideas, explore approaches, and troubleshoot code without switching between multiple disconnected tools. She reported moving from idea to working prototype in about 3–5 days, compared with an estimated 2–3 weeks if components had been built manually across separate tools. “I think the biggest problem I’m trying to solve is information overload… With ChatGPT, it becomes much simpler,” Jain said.
NVIDIA describes the next step as scaling these reusable workflows across functions, events, and regions so teams can connect external developments with internal priorities more quickly. The existing workflows run on a recurring schedule and have been shared and adapted by teams in multiple regions.
