Hugging Face announced Microduck, a 25 cm open-source robot priced at $399 that ships before Christmas. The device includes camera, lidar and two IMUs, supports reinforcement-learning workflows, and its SDK and RL training stack are published on GitHub.
Particle introduced Radar, a podcast search engine that transcribes and indexes spoken content for discovery by AI agents. The company says Radar has indexed more than 130,000 podcasts and is being used via API by hedge funds, AI search platforms and resellers.
OpenAI announced on August 26, 2026 that ChatGPT for Teachers will be added to 55 more districts across 20 states, extending free access and training to over 100,000 additional educators. A 16-state data privacy agreement and education-grade controls are part of the rollout.

Stability AI secured $76 million in a Series B round, lifting its total fundraising to $232 million. The round includes investments from entertainment and gaming companies; CEO Prem Akkaraju called it “an affirmation of our vision.”
