Arc has introduced the Arc AI Screen Assistant, a floating overlay that enhances user interaction by providing one-tap AI actions across any app without the need to copy or switch between them. This marks the second launch of the Arc AI Screen Assistant.
Functionality
The overlay can instantly summarize articles, chats, emails, and documents, read screens aloud, and rewrite messages in the desired tone directly where users type. Additionally, it automates repetitive tasks across applications.
New Features
Recent updates include over 500 community actions, an Info Vault for the AI Writer to fill in user details, AI Call Analysis, Flashcards generated from any reading, and Smart Extract for pulling structured data from screens. These features aim to enhance the assistant’s capabilities without requiring users to transfer content between apps.
Customization Options
Users can create their own actions and access community-generated actions, allowing for tailored workflows. The assistant is available on both Android and Mac platforms, and it is free to start, with no additional pricing tiers mentioned in the announcement.
