Farol: A macOS Terminal for Managing Coding Agents

Overview of Farol

Farol is a macOS terminal application that enables users to run Claude Code and Codex simultaneously while displaying the status of each coding agent. A sidebar indicates which agent is currently working, which is awaiting user input, and which has completed its task. Additionally, the menu bar allows users to monitor agent status from any application.

Task Management

Each task initiated in Farol is linked to its own git worktree. Users can start tasks from a command prompt, a GitHub issue, or a Jira ticket. The interface allows for reviewing the diff and managing tasks without switching to other tools.

Technical Details and Licensing

Built on libghostty, Farol reads the user’s Ghostty configuration. It is distributed as free software under the MIT license, with no account required for use and no telemetry collected.
