Pollo AI uses GPT‑6 Astra and GPT‑Image‑2.5 to streamline video campaigns

Pollo AI was founded to let creators and marketers convert creative ideas into finished images and videos without production expertise. The company says it now serves more than 26 million users and builds workflows around OpenAI models such as GPT‑5.6, GPT‑6 Astra and GPT‑Image‑2.5.

How Pollo Agent works

Pollo Agent interprets rough prompts and visual references, then drafts storylines, scene flows and scripts. Pollo AI uses a model mix to balance reasoning depth, speed and cost: GPT‑5.6 handles routing and GPT‑6 Astra tackles more complex tasks like narrative development and scene revision planning, the company said. CTO Peter Zhou added that GPT‑5.6 “performed especially well” with ambiguous creative inputs and praised the OpenAI API’s stability and release cadence.

Pollo AI reports that more than 30% of creator sessions now start from video templates or trending-format workflows, and that users spend more than 50% less time choosing or switching models when using the platform’s guided flows.

Use cases and results

The platform’s Photo to Video Ads tool in Marketing Studio converts a still image and a prompt into a short video intended for social media ads. One user reportedly produced a roughly 15-second fragrance ad from a single product photo, with the tool generating textures, lighting and close-ups to establish a luxurious mood.

Pollo Agent and GPT‑Image‑2.5 were also used by a jewelry brand to create an editorial-style campaign image—placing statement pieces beside a cheetah with dark drapery and warm lighting—while a beverage brand transformed a bottle photo into a snowy miniature landscape with added elements such as a train and sparkling droplets. CTO Peter Zhou said, “If we receive any task from a user to generate an image, we always use GPT‑Image‑2.5. It’s especially good at working with different types of characters and letters.”

Founder and CEO Bill Zhu framed the company’s goal as making video creation as accessible as design tools like Canva, and said Pollo AI aims for AI video to become part of everyday content creation within the next 12 months. The company noted that continued improvements in OpenAI models enable simpler workflows and more repeatable formats for creators.
